Avoid any chemicals that could harm your baby. Many cleaning products have a strong smell and can be found in your home, your work and anywhere else you go. When you breath in these fumes, they can harm your child. Use products that are only made out of natural ingredients.

You should have a comprehensive test for sexually transmitted infections upon becoming pregnant. STD’s can affect your health and your baby’s health, if you do not take care of them. Simple tests such as a pap smear or blood and urine samples can easily pick up any evidence of sexually transmitted disease. If you do have an STD that cannot be treated, you might have to deliver your baby by C-section.

Expecting mothers would be wise if they took the advice of taking a daily prenatal vitamin. In fact, most doctors prescribe them for expecting mothers!
